Our Horses

SARI horses are the backbone of our program. Each horse is carefully selected and trained to ensure they take careful steps under our participants with special needs.

Ace

Adopted by London-Middlesex Civitan Club

Ace is a 14.2 HH Pintaloosa x Fjord who was born in 2005 and started serving SARI in 2019. Known for his sweet and kind nature, Ace forms close connections with his riders, providing them with exceptional support and companionship.

Allegro

Adopted by Allan and Susan Edwards Family Fund

Allegro has been serving SARI since 2013. Standing at 16.2 HH, Allegro’s playfulness and warm-hearted nature bring a smile to everyone who encounters her.

Belle is a miniature pony born in 2009. She has been serving SARI since 2011. Her sweet and gentle nature forms the foundation of our grooming program and provides entertainment for our Senior Equine Experiences.

Bert is a handsome cremello Quarter Horse standing at 15.3HH. Born in 2015, he is a sweet and lovable addition to our therapeutic riding program. His gentle nature helps riders feel at ease, while his funny personality brings joy to every session.

Gemini is a 14.3 HH Connemara x Thoroughbred x Clydesdale born in 2008. She has a special presence and is brave, curious, and incredibly cuddly. She’s a cherished member of every SARI program, where her versatility and warmth shine through.

Luna is a 14.2 HH Quarter Horse who was born in 2004 and has been serving SARI since 2015. Known for her gentle nature, she is a dependable partner with a smooth gait, making her a perfect choice for new beginners or those learning to ride off lead.

Major, a 14.1 HH Missouri Fox Trotter born in 2008, has been with SARI since 2024. His “puppy dog” personality makes him a favourite, and his smooth gait aids in muscle relaxation, core strengthening, and rider comfort.

Milo, is a 15HH Quarter Horse born in 2010, has been serving SARI since 2016. Known for his intelligence and responsiveness to vocal commands, Milo is a favourite in lessons for his exceptional ability to connect with riders.

Salli, a 16.3 HH Canadian Sport Horse born in 2002, has been serving SARI since 2019. Fantastic with riders of all ages and skill levels, she makes everyone feel comfortable and confident. Salli has a talent for sensing when her riders need encouragement, often nuzzling them to show her support.

Samson, a Belgian X standing at 15.2 HH, joined SARI in 2024. Born in 2004, Samson brings a sweet and calm presence to our therapeutic riding program. Samson’s kind, steady and patient demeanor makes him an ideal partner for riders of all abilities. He’s preparing to enter our hippotherapy program, where his calm disposition will help participants achieve their goals.

Toto is a sweet and affectionate 15.2 HH Thoroughbred who joined SARI in 2024. Born in 2015, he has a gentle nature and a special love for snuggles. He connects with participants, creating a safe and comforting environment, helping riders build confidence and trust.

Watson is a 14.3 HH Palomino Paint horse born in 2008. He is a cherished member of the SARI herd. Gentle and affectionate, he loves snuggles and attention. Although new to the team, he will soon be a valuable part of every program at SARI.

SARI’s Adopt-a-Pony program gives corporations, groups and individuals the opportunity to cover the costs of care for one horse for a year. Your generosity is celebrated with a sign on your selected horse’s stall, recognition on the annual donor list, and a meet-and-greet opportunity with the horse.
